- I used to be able to select NTSC screenmodes in the prefs editor, but
- since I installed a more recent version of SetPatch they are no longer
- available and my Workbench screen displays as PAL.
-
- I am using OS 2.04, the Philips CM8833II monitor which can display at
- NTSC and PAL rates correctly, and SetPatch 40.something. This problem
- also occurred with the last 37.x SetPatch I had.
-
- The command `addmonitor 1 ntsc.monitor' is in my startup-sequence alright
- (this is the same as the contents of the "NTSC" script in the Monitors
- drawer), so the NTSC screenmodes available. But when I run SetPatch to get a
- patch list it says something like `Fixed monitor database unpacking from
- ROM' which I guess must have something to do with it.
-
- Any ideas? This is irritating, because PAL interlace flickers horribly
- and NTSC interlace is much better (to my eyes, anyway).
-
- Ben.
